How to Get Cases Cash Without Buying

Cases.gg runs as a sweepstakes site in the US. Sweepstakes laws generally require a free way to take part, so you never *have* to buy anything to play for real prizes. On Cases.gg, the currency that can be redeemed is called Cases Cash, and the terms are clear that it cannot be purchased. You get it free, through a handful of routes.
This guide covers every free route we could verify: the mail-in request (often called AMOE, an "alternative method of entry"), Free Play and rain, daily log-in rewards, the welcome cases, races and promotions. It also covers what you can and can't do with free Cases Cash, and the mistakes that get mail-in requests rejected.
Rules change, so we quote the terms as they read in October 2026 and tell you where to double-check.
Gold Coins vs Cases Cash: the two currencies
Before anything else, it helps to know which currency is which.
| Gold Coins | Cases Cash | |
|---|---|---|
| How you get it | Buy in the store, daily log-in bonus, promotions, win in Gold Coin games | Free: daily log-in bonus, promotions and giveaways, a bonus with Gold Coin purchases, the mail-in request |
| Can you buy it directly? | Yes | No |
| Can it be redeemed? | Never | Yes, under the redemption rules |
| What it's for | Play Mode, for fun | Cases Cash Mode, where prizes can be redeemed |
| Real-money value | None | Only through redemption |
The terms put it plainly: Gold Coins "can never be redeemed and have no real-money value", and "only games played with Cases Cash provide the opportunity to redeem for real-money". When you buy Gold Coins, Cases Cash comes as a free bonus. That's the sweepstakes model: the purchase is for Gold Coins; the Cases Cash is a promotional extra.
So "how to get Cases Cash without buying" really means: how to collect the free promotional currency without buying any Gold Coins at all. There are five main ways.
Route 1: the free mail-in request (AMOE)
The mail-in request is the one route that is guaranteed by the terms and doesn't depend on activity, level or luck. It's slow and manual, but it's always there.
What you get
According to the terms, a valid written request gives you 5 free Cash tokens (Cases Cash). You can also write in separately for 1,000 free seasonal raffle tickets. Each is a separate request with its own wording.
Where to send it
The terms give this address:
8 The Green, Dover, DE 19901
with the words "Free Cash tokens request" written on the front.
The separate sweepstakes rules page has described a slightly different format: a standard #10 envelope addressed to CasesGG US LLC at the same Dover address, marked "Cases Cash Request", containing a handwritten 3x5 card. The two documents differ in small details, so check the live Cases.gg terms and sweepstakes rules on the day you post, and follow the more specific version. If in doubt, a #10 envelope containing a handwritten 3x5 card, addressed to CasesGG US LLC, marked with both phrases on the front, covers both descriptions.
What to write
The terms list the information the request must include:
- your Cases.GG ID
- your account username
- your full legal name associated with the account
- the email associated with the account
- this exact text: *"I am writing in to claim my 5 Cash tokens on Cases.gg. By submitting this request, I hereby declare that I have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Company's Terms and Conditions."*
For raffle tickets, the text is: *"I am writing in to claim my 1000 Seasonal tickets on Cases.gg. By submitting this request, I hereby declare that I have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Company's Terms and Conditions."*
The rules that trip people up
- One request per envelope. The terms say only one write-in is processed per envelope. Ten cards in one envelope count as one at most.
- Everything must match exactly. Name, username, email and ID must match the account records character for character.
- US Mail only. The terms say all requests must come via US Mail.
- Eligible states only. Cases.gg reserves the right to reject requests from prohibited states. The sweepstakes rules have also said the request must be posted from your verified state.
- Verified users. The terms describe the free tokens as available to verified users, so verify your account before posting.
- Non-conforming requests can be rejected. Typed, photocopied or mechanically reproduced requests are a common reason sweepstakes reject mail-ins. Handwrite it.
How long it takes
Cases.gg says it processes write-ins within 14 working US days. That's from receipt, so add postage time. In practice, allow three to four weeks from posting before you chase it.
Step by step
- Verify your account in settings, so your legal name is on file.
- Copy your Cases.GG ID from your profile, along with your exact username and email.
- Get a #10 envelope and a 3x5 index card.
- Handwrite the card: ID, username, full legal name, email, and the declaration text word for word.
- Address the envelope to CasesGG US LLC, 8 The Green, Dover, DE 19901.
- Write the request phrase on the front: "Free Cash tokens request" (and "Cases Cash Request" if you want to match both versions).
- Add your return address and a first-class stamp.
- Post it from your verified state.
- Note the date and check your balance after about three weeks.
- Contact support with the posting date if it hasn't arrived after 14 working days plus postage.
Is the mail-in method worth it?
Honestly, 5 Cases Cash per envelope is small. Once you count a stamp, envelope and card, it's mostly worthwhile as a principle: it proves you never have to buy to play, and it's useful if you want to test the redemption flow or top up a small balance without spending. If you enjoy the site and want to play free, the routes below usually add up faster.
Route 2: Free Play and rain
Free Play is the site's recurring free drop, sometimes called rain. When we checked the Free Play page in October 2026, it said:
- a drop runs every 30 minutes
- each drop includes 2,500 Coins and 25 Cases Cash, plus a percentage of all spend on the site during that 30-minute window
- it's open to players at Level 10 or above, or who have completed KYC
That makes Free Play the biggest free source of Cases Cash for active, verified players. 25 Cases Cash per drop is five times a mail-in request, though the terms say the pot is split in equal shares among everyone who joins, so your share depends on how many people claim.
How to join
- Get eligible: reach Level 10 or complete KYC.
- Open the Free Play or rain panel while a drop is running.
- Join before the timer ends.
- Your share lands in your balance when the drop pays out.
Tips
- KYC is the quicker unlock for most new players, because Level 10 usually takes some play.
- Check in at peak times if you want bigger pots, but expect more people sharing them.
- Don't deposit just to level up for Free Play. That defeats the point of playing free.
Our weekly race and rain guide goes deeper on how drops are split.
Route 3: daily log-in rewards and daily cases
The terms say Cases Cash "may be obtained via a daily log-in bonus". The sweepstakes rules describe the daily bonus as claiming your free daily KYC case, so verification is the key that unlocks it. The rewards area also offers daily rewards, and once you reach Level 10, daily cases unlock with a streak bonus of up to 10% for logging in on consecutive days.
What to know:
- Log in every day to keep a streak; missing a day can reset it.
- Daily cases are free to open and can drop Cases Cash or items.
- Levels come from play, so this route rewards regular players more than occasional ones.
See our free cases guide for where to find daily rewards, and free cases not showing if they don't appear.
Route 4: the 3 free welcome cases
New accounts get 3 free welcome cases after signing up and verifying their email. No purchase is needed. They're a one-off, but they're the fastest way to see how opening, exchanging and claiming work, and anything you win counts the same as any other prize.
- Sign up through the welcome page.
- Verify your email.
- Open your three cases from the welcome banner or rewards area.
If they don't show up, the usual causes are an unverified email or an account that already claimed them. Our troubleshooting guide covers both.
Route 5: races, giveaways and promotions
Cases.gg runs promotions that can award free Cases Cash:
- Missions. The sweepstakes rules list Missions set by Cases.gg, such as joining the Discord, winning a battle or playing a certain number of games, as a way to earn Cases Cash.
- The $3,000 weekly race pays out to the top players on a weekly leaderboard. It rewards heavy play, so it isn't a realistic free route for most people, but it's free to be in.
- Giveaways and promotions on the site and its social channels. The terms list "promotional giveaways" as a source of Cases Cash.
- Seasonal raffles. The mail-in route can get you 1,000 seasonal raffle tickets for free, which enter you in seasonal prize draws.
Treat social-media giveaways with care. Real promotions run through official Cases.gg channels. Anyone asking for your password or a "verification fee" isn't running a real giveaway.
Demo Spin: free, but not Cases Cash
Every box has a Demo Spin that opens it without spending anything. It's useful for seeing how a box behaves, but it doesn't pay out Cases Cash or real prizes. Think of it as a practice mode.
Comparing the free routes
| Route | Cases Cash | How often | Who can use it | Effort |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mail-in request | 5 per valid request | Whenever you post one | Verified US players in eligible states | High: handwriting, postage, waiting |
| Free Play / rain | Share of 25 per drop (plus spend share) | Every 30 minutes | Level 10+ or KYC'd | Low: click to join |
| Daily rewards / cases | Varies | Daily, with streak bonus | Daily cases from Level 10 | Low: log in daily |
| Welcome cases | Whatever you win | Once | New accounts | Very low |
| Races and giveaways | Varies | Weekly / ad hoc | Everyone eligible | Varies |
For most players, the best free plan is: claim the welcome cases, complete KYC so you unlock Free Play, log in daily, and use the mail-in request as an occasional top-up.
What you can do with free Cases Cash
Free Cases Cash is the same as any other Cases Cash. You can:
- Open boxes in Cases Cash Mode
- Join battles and other games that accept Cases Cash
- Redeem winnings for prizes once you meet the redemption rules
- Ship physical items you win, subject to verification and delivery regions
The terms say the prize you can win in Cases Cash Mode is shown when you click the Redeem button. Redemptions go through verification, and there are limits. In New York and Florida, the terms set a maximum redemption of $5,000 per prize. Our redemption limit guide explains the rest.
Who can use these free routes?
Cases.gg excludes some US states. The terms list Idaho, Michigan, Montana, Nevada and Washington, and Nevada and Washington can't access the site at all. Mail-in requests from prohibited states can be rejected. See our restricted states and countries page.
You must be 18 or older (21 where state law requires). Expect ID checks before redemption; our ID guide explains what's asked for and why.
Outside the US, Cases.gg doesn't run on the US sweepstakes model in the same way, and the mail-in route is tied to US Mail. Check the rules that apply where you live.
How rain is split: a worked example
The terms describe rain like this: a base of 25 credits, plus a percentage of all spend on the site during the 30-minute window, goes into each rain. At the end of the window, every eligible user who joins gets an equal share of the pot.
Here's what that means with some made-up numbers:
| Scenario | Pot | Players joining | Your share |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quiet half-hour | 25 base + 5 from spend = 30 | 60 | 0.50 |
| Busy evening | 25 base + 40 from spend = 65 | 250 | 0.26 |
| Big battle night | 25 base + 150 from spend = 175 | 400 | 0.44 |
These figures are illustrative. We don't know the spend percentage, and the number of joiners changes all the time. The pattern still holds: a busier site makes bigger pots, but more people share them. Your share of a single rain is usually small. Rain adds up because it runs every 30 minutes.
The terms also warn that abusing rain, against its intended purpose, can get an account terminated. Rain is described as "a reward for players to collect while they are actively playing". Don't run several accounts or scripts to collect it. One account per person is the rule, and multi-accounting puts your whole balance at risk.
Sample mail-in card layout
Here's how a filled-in 3x5 card might look. Replace the placeholders with your own details, written exactly as they appear on your account:
> Cases.GG ID: 1234567 > Username: example_user > Full legal name: Jordan A. Example > Email: jordan@example.com > > I am writing in to claim my 5 Cash tokens on Cases.gg. By submitting this request, I hereby declare that I have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Company's Terms and Conditions.
And the envelope:
> Front, centre: CasesGG US LLC, 8 The Green, Dover, DE 19901 > Front, lower left: Free Cash tokens request > Top left: your name and return address > Top right: first-class stamp
Some notes on the card:
- Use your legal name, not a nickname, even if friends know you by something else. It must match your ID.
- Use the email on the account, not a newer one you've switched to elsewhere.
- Write clearly in pen. A request that can't be read can't be processed.
- Don't add extras like stickers, notes or extra requests. Keep the card to what's required.
Common reasons mail-in requests fail
Sweepstakes operators reject mail-ins for predictable reasons. Based on the terms and on how sweepstakes AMOEs generally work, these are the ones to avoid:
- Details that don't match the account. One wrong letter in a username or email can sink it.
- Missing or paraphrased declaration text. Copy it word for word, including "Cash tokens" and "Terms and Conditions".
- Several requests in one envelope. Only one is processed per envelope.
- Typed, printed or photocopied cards. Handwrite each one.
- Posting from a prohibited state. Requests from excluded states can be rejected, and the sweepstakes rules have asked for postage from your verified state.
- An unverified account. The free tokens are described as being for verified users.
- Sending by courier or email. The terms say requests must come by US Mail.
- Old address or wording. Rules get updated. Check the live terms before each batch.
- Requests that look automated. Mass-produced or bulk-mailed requests can be treated as abuse, as with most sweepstakes.
If a request is rejected, you usually won't get a letter back. If nothing arrives after 14 working days plus postage, ask support.
Keep a simple log
If you plan to use the mail-in route regularly, a short log saves arguments with support later.
| Date posted | Request type | From (city, state) | Credited? | Date credited | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 Cash tokens | |||||
| 1,000 seasonal tickets |
A photo of each card and envelope before posting is also helpful. If you need to raise it with support, you'll have the date and the exact wording to hand.
Making free Cases Cash go further
Free balances are small, so how you use them matters. Some practical ways to stretch them:
- Start with low-cost boxes. Small balances run out fast on expensive boxes. Cheaper boxes give you more openings and more time to learn the site.
- Read the drop table first. Every box lists its items and odds. Check what the most common drop is worth compared with the price. A box whose usual drop returns a bigger share of the price is a gentler place to spend free credit.
- Use Demo Spin before you spend. See how a box behaves without risking your free balance.
- Exchange small items you don't want. Low-value items can usually be exchanged back to balance instead of shipped, which can be a better use of them than paying for delivery.
- Avoid chasing. If a box keeps losing, switching to a pricier one to win it back is how small free balances disappear fastest.
- Watch for promotions. Codes and seasonal events can stretch your balance. Our promo codes guide lists what's current.
- Keep your account active. The terms let Cases.gg suspend or close accounts that have been inactive for 180 days or more. If you've built up free Cases Cash, log in now and then.
Our box odds guides go through specific boxes in detail.
Why sweepstakes sites offer a free entry
US sweepstakes are generally legal because entry doesn't require payment. That's why sweepstakes casinos and prize sites like Cases.gg offer a mail-in entry and promotional currencies alongside paid packages. The structure is:
- You buy a virtual currency used for fun (Gold Coins).
- You receive a promotional sweepstakes currency (Cases Cash) as a free bonus, through daily rewards, or by mail-in.
- Only the promotional currency can be redeemed for prizes.
This is a general description, not legal advice, and laws vary by state. It's also why some states are excluded: their rules don't fit the sweepstakes model. If you're unsure about your state, check the site's eligibility list and your local law.
Our Cases.gg license explained page covers the company structure in more depth.
Myths about free Cases Cash
"Free Cases Cash can't be redeemed." It can. Cases Cash is Cases Cash, however you got it. The same redemption rules apply.
"You need to deposit before you can claim free credit." Not for the mail-in route or welcome cases. Free Play needs Level 10 or KYC, and KYC doesn't require a deposit.
"Sending lots of requests at once is fine." One per envelope, and only one is processed per envelope. Bulk or automated requests risk being treated as abuse.
"Gold Coins turn into Cases Cash." They don't. Gold Coins can never be redeemed and have no real-money value.
"Demo Spin wins count." They don't. Demo Spin is a free preview.
"Rain goes to the biggest spenders." Spend on the site increases the pot, but the terms say every eligible joiner gets an equal share.
Free Cases Cash and verification
Expect to verify your identity before you redeem prizes, even if your whole balance came from free routes. KYC protects against fraud and multi-accounting, and it's a legal requirement for prize payouts in many cases. Doing it early has two benefits: it unlocks Free Play straight away, and it means your first redemption isn't held up.
Typical requirements include a government photo ID and, sometimes, proof of address. Our ID guide lists what's usually asked for.
Playing responsibly, even when it's free
Free credit is still a way into games of chance. A few habits help:
- Set limits before you start, including time limits. Free Play every 30 minutes can be a hook in itself.
- Don't treat free credit as income. Most openings return less than the box price.
- Don't deposit to "save" a free run. Once free credit is gone, it's fine to stop.
- Take breaks and use the site's self-exclusion tools if you need them.

Which free route suits you?
You've just signed up. Claim the 3 welcome cases first. Then decide whether to complete KYC now. If you think you'll come back, do it, because it unlocks Free Play right away.
You play a few times a week. Free Play is your main source. Join a rain whenever you're on the site, and use daily rewards once you hit Level 10. Keeping a login streak is worth it for the streak bonus of up to 10%.
You don't want to verify yet. Without KYC or Level 10 you can't join rain. Your options are the welcome cases, giveaways and promotions. The mail-in route is for verified users, so expect to verify eventually.
You never want to spend a cent. Combine all of them: welcome cases, KYC, Free Play, daily rewards and an occasional mail-in request. Never buy Gold Coins. This works, but it's slow, and balances stay small.
You live in an excluded state. None of these routes are open to you. Requests from excluded states can be rejected, and Nevada and Washington residents can't access the site at all.
A realistic month of free play
To set expectations, here's roughly what a month of free-only play looks like for a verified player who logs in most days. Exact amounts depend on drop sizes, how many people join and what your cases land on, so treat this as a shape rather than a promise.
- Week 1: welcome cases, KYC done, a few rains joined. You'll likely have a small balance and a couple of low-value items. Most new players exchange these rather than ship them.
- Week 2: daily logins and rain become a habit. Your balance moves up and down as you open low-cost boxes. Post your first mail-in request if you want to try it.
- Week 3: the mail-in request is likely still being processed. You'll have a feel for which boxes suit a small balance.
- Week 4: the mail-in credit should land if the request was valid. If you've been playing steadily you may reach Level 10, unlocking daily cases.
Most free players end the month with a small balance rather than a big win. The real value is learning how the site works without risking your own money. Occasionally a free opening lands something valuable, and when that happens, verification and redemption work exactly as they would for a paid opening.
Before you redeem a free win
If free play lands something worth redeeming, run through this list:
- Is your KYC complete? Redemption won't go through without it.
- Is the item in a delivery region you can ship to? See our shipping guide.
- Have you checked the redemption limits? In New York and Florida, the terms cap a single spin or play prize at $5,000.
- Are there bonus terms on your balance? Promotional credit can come with wagering conditions.
- Exchange or ship? For low-value items, exchanging is often the better choice once delivery is considered.
- Screenshot the win and the item page. If anything goes wrong, you'll have a record.
Free Cases Cash and multiple accounts
Free routes are per person, not per account. Making extra accounts to claim more welcome cases, more rain or more mail-in credit breaks the terms, and multi-accounting is one of the main things KYC is designed to catch. The usual result is that every linked account is closed and balances are forfeited, including legitimate winnings. The same goes for sharing an account with a family member. If two people in one household want to play, each needs their own verified account, and each should check that household or device rules allow it.
It's also worth keeping your login secure. A free balance is still worth stealing. Use a strong, unique password and turn on two-factor authentication if it's offered.
Bottom line
You can get Cases Cash on Cases.gg without buying anything. The quickest free start is the 3 welcome cases. The best ongoing free source for most people is Free Play (rain) after completing KYC, plus daily rewards once you reach Level 10. The mail-in request is guaranteed but slow, at 5 Cases Cash per valid envelope, processed within 14 working days.
Before you post a request, check the live terms, write the card by hand, match every detail to your account, and post one request per envelope from your verified state. Keep a simple log of what you sent and exactly when, verify your account early, and treat every free balance as entertainment rather than income. Done this way, free Cases Cash stays exactly what it's meant to be: a genuinely no-cost way to try the site properly.
